Consultation on the 2026/2027 Admission Arrangements
We are currently consulting on our admissions arrangements for the academic year 2026/27.
The admissions arrangements and our proposed PAN for the 2026/27 academic year can be reviewed here.
The consultation period is from Thursday 12th December 2024 to Monday 27th January 2025.
Formal Proposal
Consultation is taking place to lower the PAN at Mark Hall Academy.
The Consultation is to enable these changes to take effect from the Year 7 intake of September 2026.
This document is designed to:
- Notify you of proposals to make statutory prescribed alterations at Mark Hall Academy with effect from 1st September 2026
- Invite your comments on this proposal
The Statutory Process
The Department of Education (DfE) has set out the requirement and processes for making such changes in paragraphs 1.45 - 1.48 of the School Admissions Code 2021.
The proposed changes are being submitted by the Governing Body of the School and the Burnt Mill Academy Trust.
The Next Stages
This public consultation will run for the statutory period of six weeks in accordance with the requirements of the School Admissions Code.
Consultation timetable - subject to change as necessary / required by law
- Consultation period - 12th December 2024 to 27th January 2025
- Formal implementation of proposals if approved - 1st September 2026
No decisions will be made until all the respective and legal consultations have been completed and local views have been carefully considered. Any decision taken on these proposals will be subject to any appropriate permissions being granted. All responses and comments to the proposals will be taken into consideration.
