Dear Parent/Carer

Please see below current and up-and-coming events.

  • This week we have our first school-based pantomime production of Cinderella. Performances take place on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th January. Tickets are available to buy via ParentPay.
  • At the start of term, we launched the Bromcom Parent App; My Child At School. We will begin to roll this out to all contacts with parental responsibility. If you have any issues with logins, please email office@markhallacademy.org
  • Thursday 19th is a special promotion; BMAT Pizza Day with wedges and ice-cream. Please see attached poster.
  • Harlow library are holding afterschool welcomes on Wednesday’s between 3.30-5.15pm. If you feel that your child or you could benefit from learning skills to help with homework and how to support study at home, please do go along.
  • We will be launching new juice machines in school which will replace the current cans and cartons available. The juice machines will dispense 450ml which is more than the 200ml cartons. Pupils will receive a token as part of their meal deal or can purchase them separately for 80p. They can also purchase more than one at a time avoiding queuing on multiple days. Pupils will need to have a refillable bottle that is 500ml or larger as cups will not be provided as we look to reduce waste and plastic. The launch date is currently 31st January 2023.
  • Year 11 have a range of study classes open to them every day after school until 4.15pm to consolidate and improve their progress outcomes in addition to some dedicated tutoring sessions via Purple Ruler. A full timetable is available to view on our website; curriculum, extracurricular.
  • There are a range of extracurricular clubs which take place at lunchtime and after school. A full timetable will be made available to view this week on our website. This includes a homework club which is open until 4.15pm every day in the library.
